Embracing Newcomers

Mission Canada is hosting a live workshop with Dr. T.V. Thomas (live for video purposes). It will be held at the PAOC International office on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. The theme of the workshop is Embracing Newcomers: Becoming more Welcoming and Embracing. A select group of participants are being invited to be part of the live audience for this one hour videotaped workshop, which will also include a Q&A session. Each participant will be provided with a workshop booklet with the outline and spaces for note-taking.

We will be producing from this event a video which will be a church equipping and mobilization tool for later distribution via webinar. It will also be available online at a later date. Our goal is to see believers across Canada better mobilized, equipped and released to fulfill the Great Commission in reaching newcomers with the gospel. Within just a few years, Canada’s population growth will be largely as a result of immigration. Because of Canada’s expected and anticipated growth, our mission to reach every person in our nation is both exciting and critically needed. Churches that embrace cross-cultural outreach by embracing newcomers will experience growth.

Please note that this workshop begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. concluding at 11:30 a.m. ALL registrants must arrive by 10:00 a.m. for registration due to videotaping purposes. Coffee will be provided prior to the event start time. Dr. Thomas will be available for personal interaction following the taping from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

We anticipate what God will do in the days ahead as we are better equipped to embrace newcomers.
